Enhancement of research and scientific dissemination

The research activity of the Department, which takes shape in scientific publications, is also disseminated through conferences and seminars organized in the departmental structures: debates in which topics of wide interest for the community are treated and which are addressed, in addition to students and " insiders ", also to citizenship and open to its contribution and participation.

The Department participates is an active subject in formulation of social policies and the organization of forms of participatory democracy.

The libraries of the department

The Department's two libraries and their services are open to the public. The Achille Ardigò collection is available at the departmental library, which is of specific relevance for the dissemination of a leading figure in the history of sociological knowledge to the public.
