Circolo Anarchico Berneri, Piazza di Porta Santo Stefano 1, Bologna
A workshop led by Giulia Piermartiri and Edoardo Delille, focused on rethinking photography as a tool to imagine the future. At its core is Atlas of the New World: a photographic journey into possible future scenarios of our planet, where photography moves beyond the present to make the climate crisis visible in the here and now. How do you represent what does not yet exist? And what role does imagination play in shaping what is to come? An invitation to use photography not only to document, but to open up new possibilities. 14.30 - 17.30 Workshop: Colonial roots of botanical gardens
Le Serre dei Giardini Margherita
The workshop, organized by Mariia Moroz (visual arts student), explores the hidden stories of migration embedded in plants and will conclude with the creation of a zine. Which plants have been introduced to Bologna? What stories and contexts lie behind the familiar greenery of urban gardens? Together, we will look at botany as part of a colonial legacy. 20:00 – 21:30 Liveset Nellospazioo
Le Serre dei Giardini Margherita
Massimiliano Nazzi (@nellospazioo) has worked with sound across a wide range of fields, from art installations to theatre, dance theatre, video, and the construction of sound machines. He was commissioned to compose the tracks featured in the podcast Panicocene, and from those pieces, reworked and expanded, the live project Nellospazioo was born, permeated by relentless repetitions and off-kilter loops, moving between ambient and techno, between cosmic orbits and underwater tunnels
21:30 – 23:00 Listening session MAI MAI MAI
Le Serre dei Giardini Margherita
MAI MAI MAI (in dialogue with Micol Meghnagi)
Mai Mai Mai’s listening session explores his artistic research and sonic imagination, moving through ambient, field recordings, dub, analog electronics, and downtempo. Archaic voices, ritual chants, and archival materials intertwine with contemporary rhythms, creating an immersive experience that brings back the ghosts of folklore and Mediterranean memory. In particular, the listening will focus on his latest work and recordings made between Bethlehem and Ramallah in 2024 during his artistic residency in the West Bank, in collaboration with Radio alHara and Wonder Cabinet
